KLEENSLATE RECEIVES TEACHER’S CHOICE AWARD

KwikChek II Puts the Paddle Back in the Classroom

KleenSlate Concepts received the “Teacher’s Choice Award 2008” from Learning Magazine for their innovative teaching tool KwikChek II, a double-sided white board paddle with a snap-on dry erase marker and attachable eraser.

Every year, dozens of teachers are invited to Learning Magazine headquarters to review new products for classroom use. Hundreds of products are submitted by educational companies, including curriculum-based books, soft-ware, games and classroom supplies. The teacher-judges examine the materials, use them in their classrooms, and rank their favorites.

Judges were enthusiastic about the KwikChek II. One judge said, “I’m excited to find a new and revealing way to check students’ comprehension.” Another judge commented that the paddles “keep students engaged and every child gets heard.” A third judge said, “I used the KwikChek paddles for guided reading groups, word block, math lessons, and also for shared reading response. I was able to enhance so many lessons by having each student write an individual response. It not only helped with accountability and observing progress, but also with literacy because the kids are simply writing more often! This is a product for every child, and I recommend the KwikChek paddle for any age group!”
